Francis Mastrangelo
Francis Mastrangelo is a northwest, full spectrum artist with a long history of popularity. When not producing works for a gallery exhibition, he works closely with interior design professionals creating custom commissioned works for interiors and maritime historians in creating museum quality art. His artistic destination travels down the roads through highly accurate realism to impressionism to abstract expressionism. Mastrangelo has a long and cultured background in commercial art where his technique, materials, styles and subjects cover a broad spectrum because of the volume of custom work requests that he’s received. People often comment on his talent and he reminds them of Edison’s maxim: “1 % inspiration 99% perspiration.” Recently he has created several dozen abstract paintings for interior design professionals. These abstracts have become so popular that a designer line of hand woven area rugs have been produced as result. Navigating between objective (realistic) art and subjective (abstract) art, Mastrangelo completes an expressive “totality” which has evolved into an artistic cross training for his disciplines. Each approach is nourished and therefore grows from the other. This augmentation of expressive polarities provides a refreshing journey regardless of the destination. It’s rare to find such quality work in a “living artist” of today. Francis Mastrangelo is approachable and flexible thus providing a commissioned pieces made to order, created with utmost care and complete client satisfaction.
