Laser Engraving and Cutting Examples
Paper Cutting with a laser
These artist calling cards were first printed on fine art rag paper, then laser cut in this baroque frame pattern.
Traditional Mexican paper-cut style wedding invitations, laser-cut from colored construction paper.
Below is a piece of artwork by Beka Bielman that was drawn with colored pens and watercolor and then hand cut. The original was in three layers. We took the artwork and scanned the three layers separately, then traced the cut layers in Adobe Illustrator to create vector files.
Next we printed the three layers using our giclee printers. Each layer was printed on fine art paper, and then cut out using the laser cutter to recreate the original.

Laser Cutting and Engraving Wood
The possibility with woods is endless, from engraving, to cutting complex shapes and doing inlays.

Below is a pen & ink drawing by Scott Moore that was scanned here at Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction, then etched into wood using the laser engraving machine. Line art lends itself well to this kind of application. We're also experimenting with woodblock prints and linoleum cut prints using a combination digitized drawings and laser engraving, where the image is etched away instead of being hand cut.
