Title: Cash
This is an art scan of a hunting dog. The drawing is pencil on paper, which creates a special challenge. Scanning drawings that leave a lot of white space is very difficult. You cannot leave the white as it is or the scan will look dull. All of the whites will become grey, so we carefully edit the white area to leave a natural white or off white. Scanning monochromatic images is the most difficult. The lack of color draws the eye to every detail, and even slight differences in cool or warm tones in the art scan are easily noticed.

When an art scan like this has been properly edited, the giclee prints come out beautifully. In many cases the giclee print is almost indistinguishable from the original artwork.
