Here’s our art of the day. This piece is called Panama on my Mind by Raquel Stokes, although here at BFAR we called it Sloth Party.
Here’s a quick blurb about Raquel:
As a self-taught painter I am unconstrained by many of the conventions of the medium. I approach art much in the way I approach life: open-minded and with versatility and spontaneity. Painting is a sensuous and meditative process for me, and I want my audience to share a similar experience. Instead of a riddle to be solved, my paintings are accessible while still being thought-provoking. With each piece I attempt to present a different style, both for my own enrichment and to appeal to diverse interests. I have a passion for learning new things and educating myself about the world through experience. I am driven by curiosity and restlessness, and these traits are reflected in my work.
