Download ICC Profiles + AMX Files
for Canon Pro 2600/4600/6600

Below is a list of Canon ICC printer profiles and AMX files for Epson fine art media, available for free download for Canon Pro 2600/4600/6600 printers for those who wish to use them. These files are provided as a community service, and are as-is, with no guarantee or support. All files have been tested and used in-house.

We are currently using Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4600 printers for production and have used Epson printers in the past.

For others in the same situation that are still wanting to use many of the excellent Epson fine art media, we created AMX configuration files and ICC profiles for some Epson Media for the Canon ImageProGraf Pro 2600/2400/6600 printers. We’re even adding some Canon media that doesn’t yet have profiles or AMX files for the 2600/4600/6600 series, like Wrapping paper.

AMX files can be installed on your printer using the Canon Media Configuration Tool (please refer to this page for instructions). Although the AMX files were created for each paper type, these are the paper types we started with. If you don’t install the AMX files, you can use the following paper types below and they should work fine.

To install a Canon AM1X file, you can use the Canon Media Configuration Tool (MCT). Before you do so, you will need to download the printer profile and AM1X config file, and then import the config file into the MCT.

Steps:

Download the ICC printer profile and AM1X config file.
Turn on your printer and connect it to your computer.
Open the MCT.
Click the Add Media Information button.
Click the Import button.
Find the downloaded profile and config files.
Select the config file you want to install and click Open.
Verify the config file name and click Next.
Click Start in the Update Media Information dialog.
Click OK when the installation is complete.

AM1X config files define printer settings, such as ink density, vacuum strength, and paper thickness. They’re especially useful for printing on thick, heavy, or specialty papers.

Note that we are currently adding new profiles and AMX files, so if you do not see a link embedded on the paper name, please check back in a couple of weeks. Any profiles you do not see listed on this page means we’re most likely not planning on making it.
